Kaspar "Toro" Bindeman is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, composer, producer, DJ, actor, director, artist and activist, residing in Barcelona, Spain. Born January 31, 1972, in Riga, Latvia in the artist's family. He started his creative activities at a very young age, graduated from percussion class and Grammy nominee composer Pēteris Vask's composition class, also studied design, painting, drawing and drama acting. At age 16 established his first psychedelic rock band Business Man (Peterson), at 18 continued as a solo artist and soon enough was ranked among the best guitarists of his country. At age 20 started Latvian all-star band Kaspar Bindeman & The Old Soldiers. For almost three decades in his homeland has made a successful career as a musician, director, actor and production designer, has worked in advertising, wrote music for theater, cinema, TV and other events, acted in movies and plays, and has been awarded and nominated for his work at several festivals, as well as considered as one of the most eccentric Latvian style icons. In 2006 moved to Barcelona and started everything from the scratch, including the fifth attempt of his album recording, traveling and gathering session musicians from all around the world.  In 2021 made his breakthrough as an actor and musician in Spain, by landing the role of Ilya Telegin in the director's Oskaras Korshunovas staging of A. Chekhov's play Uncle Vanya, which has been considered as one of the ten best current season's works in the country.
